Sarah Garvey received a Ph.D. from the Department of Earth & Environment at Boston University in 2023 and in her research, focused on the effects of urbanization and forest fragmentation on carbon storage and fluxes. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Ecology and Evolution in 2016. Prior to her graduate work, she studied rangeland wetland carbon storage in Florida with the MacArthur Agro-Ecology Research Center at Archbold Biological Station. Outside of her passion for science, Sarah is an avid baker and artist.
